Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 qt. pecans (whole, if possible)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 stick or half margarine
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook on low fire the sugar and buttermilk until it forms soft ball, stirring occasionally.
Add the soda and stir a few strokes. Add vanilla and margarine and stir until beginning to thicken. Drop by spoon on wax paper. Will have to work very fast or last of candy will be too hard to drop.
