Sopaipillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Cut in margarine until mixture resembles cornmeal.
    Gradually add water, stirring mixture with a fork.
    Turn out on a lightly floured surface; knead to a smooth ball.
    Divide in half.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Roll each half out in a rectangle about 10 x 12 1/2 x 1/16-inch.
    Cut into 2 1/2-inch squares.
    Fry 3 or 4 at a time in deep 400\u00b0 fat for 30 seconds on each side.
    Drain.
    Roll in sugar and cinnamon if you want it as a dessert.
    Or serve hot with honey.
