Brown Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. (114 g) butter
    1 c. (240 ml) uncooked white rice
    2 cans (10 1/2 oz. or 298 g each) beef consomme
    1 (2 oz. or 57 g) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    1 grated small onion
    dash of salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter in skillet at medium heat.
    Add rice and stir constantly until rice is golden brown.
    Remove from heat.
    Add consomme, mushrooms, onion, salt and pepper; mix well.
    Bake, covered, in greased 2-quart (1892-ml) casserole at 350\u00b0 (177\u00b0C) for 1 hour.
    Yields 6 to 8 servings.
