Cherry Heaven Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. oil
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar (save 1/4 c. and mix with cinnamon)
    juice of 1 orange (about 1/2 c.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 cans cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Beat sugar, eggs, juice, vanilla and oil together; add dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Batter is very stiff.
    In a greased 9 x 11-inch pan, spread half the batter.
    Spread about 1 1/2 cans of cherries.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
    Spread remaining batter on top.
    Do your best to cover all the cherries. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon and sugar mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour and 325\u00b0 last 1/2 hour.
