Butter Mints - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. whipping cream
    1 tsp. mint flavoring
    1 tsp. butter flavoring
    1 stick butter (1/2 c.)
    1 box powdered sugar
    food coloring
Preparation
    Scald 1/4 cup of whipping cream.
    Melt 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter.
    Add 1 teaspoon mint flavoring and 1 teaspoon butter flavoring to melted butter.
    Add food coloring of choice and intensity to butter mixture.
    Add scalded whipping cream to 1 box powdered sugar.
    Mix together, using your hands to knead into ball stage.
    Add butter mixture to powdered sugar mixture.
    Mix well. If necessary, add more sugar until mixture is well formed. Separate mixture into smaller balls and roll out into long strings.
    Cut with a knife and place on a dish to air dry for at least 1 1/2 hours.
    Place in tightly sealed container.
