Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. cabbage
    4 c. onion
    4 c. green tomatoes
    12 green sweet peppers
    6 red sweet peppers
    6 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Grind vegetables, sprinkled with 1/2 cup salt with water.
    Let stand 2 or 3 hours.
    Rinse and drain well.
    Combine vinegar, sugar and spices.
    Pour over vegetables and cook to desired thickness. Put in jars and seal.
