Lena'S Greek-Style Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. yellow squash, sliced or 3 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced yellow squash, thawed
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    1 (16 oz.) container Ricotta cheese
    1 c. cottage cheese
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen phyllo pastry, thawed
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients in a Dutch oven.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    Reduce heat and simmer 5 to 7 minutes or until squash is tender; drain.
    Set aside.
    Combine ricotta cheese and next 4 ingredients.
    Set aside.
