Chicken With Cashews (Szechwan Style) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 whole chicken breasts (about 2 lb.)
    1 egg white
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. soy sauce (light or dark)
    dash of white pepper
    1 large green pepper
    1 medium onion
    1 can (8 1/2 oz.) sliced bamboo shoots, drained
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. cold water
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce (light or dark)
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. raw cashews
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. finely chopped ginger root
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
    2 tsp. chili paste *
    1/4 c. chicken broth
    2 Tbsp. chopped green onions (with tops)
Preparation
    *One
    teaspoon\tfinely chopped dried chili pepper and 1 tablespoon soy sauce can be substituted for the chili paste.
