Broccoli-Cheese Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 c. flour
3 c. chicken broth
3 c. milk
1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, cooked
Preparation

In a large saucepan, melt butter.
Add onion and cook until tender, about five minutes.
Stir in flour, blending well.
Add chicken broth slowly while stirring.
Cook until mixture starts to thicken.
Add milk.
Heat until just boiling.
Add broccoli and cheese.
Heat, stirring until cheese melts and soup is hot.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
