Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. apples (fresh), peeled and diced
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. Wesson oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    Mix the first 3 ingredients; let stand for 1 hour.
    Stir often so mixture makes its own juice.
    Sift together the flour, cinnamon or nutmeg, soda and salt.
    Add mixture to apples.
    Add the remaining ingredients by hand.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
