Brown-Eyed Susans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. softened butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    chocolate candy wafers
Preparation
    Cream the first 5 ingredients together. Stir in flour.
    Chill for 1 hour.
    Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Place candy wafer on top and push to flatten cookie. Bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes 4 dozen.
