Perfect Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. cocoa
2 c. boiling water
1 c. butter, softened
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Combine cocoa and boiling water, stirring until smooth; set aside. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar. Beat at medium speed. Add eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Beat at low speed. Stir in vanilla. Pour into 3 greased cake pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
