Apple Taffy Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed or chunk pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 egg, beaten
    4 c. apples, sliced or quartered
    1 c. dry roasted nuts
    8 oz. container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Combine first the juice from pineapple (reserve pineapple on side), 1/2 cup sugar, flour, cider vinegar and beaten egg .
    Mix together in saucepan; heat on stove until thick.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour.
