Barbecued Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. ribs
    18 oz. barbecue sauce
    1/4 c. honey
    1 small can pork and beans (optional)
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    2 lb. beef chuck or round
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    3 Tbsp. oil
    3 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    1 large green pepper, diced
    2 to 3 tsp. salt or to taste
    1/2 tsp. pepper or to taste
    1 tsp. honey
    1 c. dried apricots
    3 white potatoes, peeled and diced
    3 sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
    2 c. beef or vegetable broth
    1 medium pumpkin
    melted butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. corn (2 medium ears), cut off cob
Preparation
    Select pumpkin that will set straight and firm.
    Cut meat into 1 1/2-inch cubes.
    Brown meat, onion and garlic in hot oil in large, heavy pot.
    Add tomatoes, green pepper, salt, pepper, honey, apricots, white and sweet potatoes and broth.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour.
