Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 pkg. bacon, cooked and crumbled
    1 rib celery, finely chopped
    1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
    2 c. Miracle Whip
    8 oz. shredded cheese
    lettuce
Preparation
    Lightly cook peas, then layer in a 9 x 13-inch glass dish in the following order: lettuce, peas, celery, water chestnuts and onion.
    Cover with Miracle Whip and sprinkle sugar on top. Sprinkle shredded cheese and bacon pieces over the top.
    Make a day ahead and refrigerate until ready to serve.
