Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. unflavored gelatin
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. or more peanut butter (crunchy)
    2 slightly beaten egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 egg whites
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. whipping cream
    1 fully ripe banana
    1 pastry shell (can use graham cracker)
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients.
    Slowly add water to peanut butter. Blend smooth.
    Slowly stir in yolks.
    Add gelatin mixture.
    Cook and stir until mixture thickens slightly.
    Add vanilla.
    Chill until partially set.
    Beat egg whites to soft peaks.
    Gradually add remaining sugar; beat until stiff peaks.
    Fold into gelatin mixture.
    Fold into whipped cream.
    Slice banana into pastry shell.
    Top with filling.
    Chill until firm.
