Skillet Meat Balls With Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    1 small onion, grated
    1/2 c. dry crumbs
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. evaporated milk
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. condensed onion soup
    1/2 c. water
    3 carrots, cut in strips
    1 pkg. frozen cut green beans
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
Preparation
    Mix meat, egg, onion, bread crumbs, cornstarch, salt, pepper, ginger, nutmeg and milk in a large bowl.
    Form into small (walnut size) balls.
    Brown in melted shortening.
    Pour onion soup and water over.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Remove meat balls and add vegetables; cook until tender.
    Return meat balls and mix well. Serves 6.
