Old Fashioned Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    6 to 7 c. thinly sliced, pared tart apples (about 6 medium)
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    pastry for 9-inch two crust pie
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Prepare pastry.
    Mix the sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
    Stir in apples.
    Turn into pastry lined pie plate.
    Dot with butter.
    Moisten rim of bottom crust and place top crust with slits in it over filling. Fold edge of top crust under bottom crust, pressing to seal.
    Bake until light brown and juice bubbles, 40 to 50 minutes.
    Yields 6 servings.
