Crunch Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
17 salted soda crackers
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Beat egg whites until frothy; add cream of tartar and beat until stiff.
Beat in vanilla flavoring.
Crush soda crackers lightly with rolling pin.
They should not be too fine.
Mix well with sugar.
Fold in egg whites.
Add nuts; pour into 9-inch pie pan.
Bake 30 minutes in slow oven (325\u00b0).
Cut into pie wedge. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
Serves 6.
