Beefy Vegetable Soup(Makes 8 To 10 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef
20 oz. bag frozen mixed vegetables
2 c. V-8 juice
1/3 c. chopped onions
3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
1/4 tsp. chili powder
2 bay leaves
1 c. each: celery, potatoes, carrots
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tsp. thyme
1 c. dry red wine
16 oz. can peeled tomatoes
3 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 can beef bouillon
Preparation

Cook beef and onions until brown.
Add vegetables, seasonings and liquid into large pot.
Don't add red wine until after soup has cooked for 45 minutes.
Before serving, add wine.
Heat and remove bay leaves.
Soup is enhanced with longer cooking time. Keeps well in refrigerator.
Also freezes well.
