Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 large can pineapple rings
2 eggs
2/3 c. regular white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. self-rising flour
1 small jar maraschino cherries
Preparation

Melt 1/3 cup butter in heavy iron skillet.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar over butter.
Arrange pineapple, putting maraschino cherries in center of pineapple.
Make batter and pour over. Batter:
Beat eggs 5 minutes.
Beat in all at once 6 tablespoons pineapple juice and vanilla.
Beat in all at once the flour.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes, according to oven.
Turn upside down and let set before lifting skillet.
