Cinnamon Diamonds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugars; beat in milk, egg yolk and vanilla.
    In a small bowl, stir together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; add to creamed mixture.
    Blend well.
    Spread in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes, or until done.
    Cool in pan.
    Sift powdered sugar atop.
    Cut into diamond shapes.
    Makes 1 1/2 to 2 dozen.
