Whole Wheat, Bran, Raisin And Date Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    2 c. Fruit and Fibre cereal
    1 egg
    1/2 c. shortening or vegetable oil
Preparation
    Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Set aside.
    Stir together cereal and milk.
    Let stand about 2 minutes. Add egg and shortening.
    Beat well.
    Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined.
    Fill 12 greased 2 1/2-inch muffin cups (or use muffin liners).
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    Serve warm or cold.
    Yield:
    12 muffins.
