Chili-Cheese Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, cut into 16 slices
    8 slices rye bread
    4 tsp. chili sauce
    1 can green chilies, drained
    1/4 c. milk
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. ground cumin
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. margarine or butter
Preparation
    Place 4 slices cheese on each of 4 slices bread.
    Spread each with 1 teaspoon chili sauce.
    Divide chilies equally among sandwiches.
    Top with remaining slices of bread.
    Beat milk, egg, cumin and salt with fork in 9-inch pie plate until smooth.
    Dip both sides of sandwiches into egg mixture.
