Scalloped Tomatoes #1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes, cut in small wedges
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    grated Parmesan cheese
    seasoned croutons
Preparation
    In small saucepan, melt butter.
    Add onion, sugar, salt and pepper.
    Cover bottom of 1 1/2-quart casserole with croutons.
    Top with some of the tomatoes and sauce.
    Continue the three layers, ending with croutons.
    Top with Parmesan.
    Bake, covered, at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Yields 6 to 8 servings.
