Texas Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground meat
    1 large can tomatoes, cut up
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1 tsp. salt
    1 large can cream-style corn
    3 c. cooked rice
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    2 tsp. comino powder
    grated Cheddar cheese
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Brown meat, pepper and onion in shortening.
    Add tomatoes, salt and all spices.
    Simmer 15 minutes, stirring to keep from sticking. Heat corn and add rice and corn to meat mixture.
    Pour into 2 or 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Top with cheese.
    Cover with foil.
    Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
