Green Wonder Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (No. 303) can French-style green beans
1 (No. 303) can small green peas
1 (No. 303) can Chinese chow mein vegetables
1 flat can water chestnuts, thinly sliced
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. cider vinegar
1 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
Preparation

Drain liquid from canned vegetables (liquid can be saved to use in soups and sauces). Mix all vegetables, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper in large bowl. Cover and refrigerate several hours. Salad will keep several weeks in refrigerator in tightly covered container. Yields 3 pints.
