Cranberry And Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
2 Tbsp. liquid shortening
1/2 c. orange juice
2 Tbsp. hot water
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cranberries
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
In another bowl, add beaten egg, liquid shortening, juice and water.
Add to the dry ingredients and mix until just moist.
Add chopped nuts and the cranberries, which have been cut in halves.
Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes in a 325\u00b0 oven in a greased loaf pan.
Cool.
Place in plastic bag or foil to freeze.
This is better after it sets a day.
