Oatmeal Caramel Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
24 (7 oz.) vanilla caramels
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. quick-cooking oats
1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation

In large mixing bowl, beat butter on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.
Add about 1 cup of the flour, the brown sugar, eggs, vanilla and the baking soda.
Beat until combined.
Stir in remaining flour then the oats.
Press 2/3 of the dough into an ungreased 15 x 10-inch baking pan.
Sprinkle with chocolate pieces and nuts.
In medium saucepan, combine caramels and milk.
Cook over low heat until melted.
Drizzle over chocolate and nuts.
Drop remaining dough by teaspoons over the top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until top is brown.
Cool in pan on wire rack.
Cut into bars.
To freeze, wrap in moisture and vaporproof wrap and freeze for up to 6 months.
