Talarena - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium bell pepper, chopped
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 tsp. chili pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (17 oz.) creamed corn
    3 c. cooked rice
    shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown beef, onion and pepper in shortening.
    Add next 5 ingredients.
    Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add cooked unseasoned corn and rice.
    Mix well and pour into buttered 2 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Top with cheese.
    Bake covered at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
