Grandma'S Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 7 c. flour, divided
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 pkg. yeast
    2 1/4 c. warm water
Preparation
    Mix 3 1/2 cups of flour, the sugar, shortening and yeast in large bowl.
    Add warm water and beat together until well mixed. Stir in rest of flour 1 cup at a time until dough is easy to handle.
    Turn dough onto lightly floured surface.
    Knead until smooth.
    Cover and let rise until double.
    Punch down.
    Let rise again.
    Pour out on floured surface and divide in half.
    Flatten each half into approximately 18 x 9-inch.
    Fold sides crosswise into thirds.
    Pinch loaves to seal edge.
    Place in 9 x 5 x 3 pan. Brush slightly with melted margarine.
    Let rise.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
