Spanish Paella - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/2 c. diced onions
    1/2 c. diced green peppers
    2 chicken breast halves, cut into 1/2 inch strips
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 oz. smoked sausage
    1/2 lb. peeled & deveined shrimp
    1/4 tsp. turmeric
    1/4 tsp. saffron (optional)
    1 1/2 c. diced tomatoes
    1 garlic clove chopped
Preparation
    Cook rice according to pkg.
    Heat oil in skillet.
    Saute onions and peppers.
    Add chicken and continue to saute until chicken is partially cooked.
    Stir in remaining ingredients except tomatoes and garlic.
    Cover and steam until the chicken and shrimp are fully cooked.
    Stir in tomatoes and garlic.
    Add cooked rice. 4 servings.
