Bran Muffins For 4 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shreds of wheat bran cereal
    2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Set aside.
    Measure cereal and milk together into small mixing bowl. Stir to combine.
    Let stand for 1 or 2 minutes or until cereal is softened.
    Add shortening.
    Beat well.
    Add flour mixture, stirring until combined.
    Portion batter evenly into four greased 2 1/2-inch muffin cups.
    Bake in oven at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Yields 4 muffins.
