Shrimp Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. shrimp
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 lb. okra, sliced 1/4-inch thick
    1 (14 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 tsp. parsley
    file
    dash of cayenne, thyme, black pepper and salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 bay leaf
    1 can crab meat or fresh
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. bacon grease
    Tabasco
    lemon juice
Preparation
    Roux:
    Cook 1 cup flour and 1/2 cup bacon grease in a heavy pot slowly until brown; stir constantly.
    Takes time; do not burn.
