Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can (10 1/2 oz.) condensed cream of chicken or mushroom soup
    1/2 soup can milk
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 eggs, separated
Preparation
    Stir soup until smooth and gradually blend in milk.
    Add cornmeal and cook until thickened, stirring all the while.
    Add butter and remove from heat.
    Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored; stir into mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry and fold into mixture.
    Pour into buttered 1-quart casserole. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until golden brown.
    Serve with butter and/or syrup.
