Southern Fried Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 lb. washed, cut okra
2 to 3 c. corn meal (White Lily)
2 to 3 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
salt
pepper
oil
Preparation

Soak okra in buttermilk and egg mixture while the oil gets hot.
Lift up with your hands the okra and put into the corn meal. Coat okra well and using a slotted spoon, put okra into the hot oil.
(Better to use a big pot with oil like deep fryer.)
When the okra is ready it will turn over.
The trick is not to stir the okra nor put too much in the pan at a time.
My Ben eats this vegetable like popcorn!
