Jello Salad - cooking recipe

2 large pkg. orange jello
2 (12 oz.) Cool Whip
1 (24 oz.) cottage cheese
2 cans mandarin oranges
2 cans pineapple tidbits
pecans (optional)
Preparation

Drain oranges and pineapple really well.
Mix Cool Whip and dry jello with cottage cheese, then add oranges and pineapple. Stir well.
Put in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sprinkle pecans on top.
