Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. fresh strawberries
    3/4 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1 baked pie shell
    1/2 pt. whipping cream or Cool Whip
Preparation
    Line bottom of baked pie shell with 1/2 of the strawberries, sliced in half.
    In a saucepan, bring to a boil the remainder of the whole berries and 3/4 cup water.
    Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes. Combine cornstarch and sugar and add to berries, stirring constantly.
    Cook until mixture is clear.
    Add lemon juice.
    Cool slightly and pour over the berries in the pie shell.
    Chill several hours.
    Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
