Christmas Bark Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 to 12 oz.) pkg. vanilla chips or milk chocolate chips
    2 tsp. vegetable oil
    1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. M&M's miniature baking bits, broken pretzel pieces, crushed candy canes, crunchy nuts or dried fruit
Preparation
    In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chips and oil at 70% power for 1 minute; stir.
    Microwave 10 to 20 seconds longer or until chips are melted, stirring occasionally.
    Cool for 5 minutes.
    Stir in baking bits, pretzels or desired add-in.
    Spread onto waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
    Chill for 10 minutes.
    Remove from refrigerator; break into pieces.
    Store in airtight container at room temperature.
    Makes about 1 pound.
