Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 unbeaten egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
36 solid milk chocolate candy kisses

Preparation

Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Cream together shortening and peanut butter; gradually add sugar and brown sugar.
Cream well.
Add egg, milk and vanilla.
Beat well, blending in mix thoroughly.
Shape teaspoon rounded balls; roll in sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and place unwrapped candy kiss in center of cookies. Return to oven for 2 to 5 minutes longer.
