Strawberry Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. strawberries
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Simmer 1 cup berries and 2/3 cup water until berries boil and start to break up (about 3 minutes).
Blend cornstarch, sugar and remaining 1/3 cup water and add to boiling mixture.
Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Cool.
Place remaining 3 cups berries in baked pie crust; cover with cooked mixture. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
(I tint with red food color.)
