Wilted Greens - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. drippings
    a little chopped onion
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 qt. leaf lettuce or other greens, washed and cut
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Melt drippings in heavy pan; add a little chopped onion and cook until soft and yellow.
    Stir in vinegar, then add lettuce. Cover and heat a few minutes, until greens are wilted.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Serve hot.
    Serves 4.
