Raspberry Layered Parfait - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    9 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cold milk
    1 1/2 c. scalded milk
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    2 c. fresh raspberries
    whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch, 5 tablespoons sugar and salt.
    Gradually add cold milk; stir until thoroughly blended.
    Add scalded milk and cook over boiling water, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cover and cook 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add mace and almond extract, mixing well.
    Cool.
    Combine raspberries and remaining 4 tablespoons sugar.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
