Carnival Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. light molasses
    4 c. popped popcorn
    2 c. shelled peanuts
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Combine sugar, molasses, water, vinegar and salt.
    Stir until sugar dissolves.
    Cook to light crack stage (270\u00b0).
    Remove from heat; add butter and soda.
    Stir well.
    Pour over popcorn and peanuts.
    Toss well.
