Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3 large onions (3 1/2-inches in diameter), sliced
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 lb. can tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
    1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large skillet, cook ground beef until lightly browned.
    Drain fat. Add onions and green pepper. Cook until onions are tender. Stir in tomatoes, rice, chili powder, salt and pepper.
    Heat and pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish. Cover and bake 1 hour.
    Serves 4 to 6 people.
