Aunt Selma'S Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Beat sugar, shortening, eggs, molasses and vinegar together. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
    Chill overnight.
    Form into balls about the size of walnuts.
    Do not bake too close together.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes (electric oven) or at 350\u00b0 (for gas oven).
    You may dip the tops in sugar (colored red or green for the holidays) before placing on baking sheet for added interest.
