Pennsylvania Dutch Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
    1 small onion, sliced
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 lb. can cut green beans
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Brown onion and water chestnuts slightly in hot bacon fat. Drain beans, saving 1/2 cup liquid.
    Mix liquid with remaining ingredients and add to onion. Cook, stirring until mixture boils. Add beans and heat thoroughly. Serve garnished with crumbled bacon.
