Chicken Parisienne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 4 whole chicken breasts, halved
    salt and pepper, to taste
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 small onion
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    1 c. cream of chicken soup
    1 c. dry vermouth
Preparation
    Season chicken with salt and pepper.
    Brown chicken in butter along with the onions.
    Arrange chicken in casserole.
    Mix remaining ingredients in pan used to brown chicken, simmering slightly to combine to make smooth sauce.
    Pour over chicken. Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 40 to 50 minutes.
    Can be made ahead of time but do not freeze.
    Serve over long grain and wild rice.
