Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 scant tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Sift together flour, salt, cream of tartar and soda and add to above mixture.
    Roll into balls the size of a small walnut and roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned, but still soft.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen 2-inch cookies.
