German Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut
    1/2 c. regular rice
    chopped onion
    1 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Layer ingredients.
    Melt margarine in a skillet.
    Add sauerkraut.
    Sprinkle rice; add chopped onion to taste.
    Break hamburger over all.
    Spread tomato sauce over all.
    Cover; bring to a boil.
    Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Do not stir at any time.
